Water – My Flow For Life

Empty your mind; be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put it into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Become water my friend.

Throughout my life I have noticed that the times when I am happiest are when I am around water. Water is the very being of my soul. Water gives me pleasure keeps me alive, entertains me, interests me, feeds me and crafts me. It is the motion within me and without.

A calm sea, reflecting the light and bringing peace and tranquillity to a busy life, becalms my inner confusion. An angry wave crashing ashore can only stay angry for so long, for eventually it too will calm to begin a new phase, a new beginning. A babbling brook, flowing over and around the obstacles in its path eventually reaches its destination with inevitability, despite the journey.

Just watching the flow, where ever it may be, calms me and excites me. To see the sea, makes smile. But I never really asked the question, why? Is it because it reflects life so well? It shows all my moods! It exposes my soul! It finds a path, where there seems no way through. A drip gathers drips and becomes a drop. That small beginning becomes a flow. That trickling flow becomes a stream. That stream becomes a river. That river becomes a sea. That sea of success started as puff of steam, like a seed in a field.

From now on I will gather my drops and allow them to flow. Allow them to grow and grow. My trickle of thoughts and ideas will become a stream, river and lead me to the sea of success. What about your drops? Where will they flow to? Will you allow them to sculpt your future?
